Avoid Relying on the Coastal Road for Sightseeing
Anyone who has driven the Amalfi Coast in summer knows how slow it can be. Narrow roads, heavy traffic and limited parking make moving between villages time-consuming, and much of the scenery passes by in a blur from the car window.
The sea is the better road
From Positano, travelling by boat solves all of this at once. Instead of queueing on hairpin bends, you glide past the same villages, cliffs and beaches with an open, uninterrupted view. The journey stops being a chore and becomes one of the best parts of the day, with the freedom to pause for photos or a swim whenever you like.
More comfort, more scenery
A private boat also means no crowds and a pace set entirely by you, which is hard to match on the coastal road in high season.
