Start Early for a Quieter Side of Positano
Positano is one of the most photographed villages in the world, and the calmest, most beautiful time to see it from the water is early in the day. A morning departure gives you a gentler start, softer light on the pastel houses and a head start before the coast gets busy.
Why the early hours are special
In the first part of the morning the sea is usually at its calmest and the light falls warmly across the cliffs and the dome of Santa Maria Assunta. There is also more room on the water, so photographs of Positano feel unhurried and the whole experience is more relaxed. An early start simply leaves more of the day for swimming, sightseeing and optional stops ashore.
