Praiano is a great starting point for both Amalfi and Positano
Praiano sits almost exactly halfway along the Amalfi Coast, and that central position is its secret weapon for a day on the water. From here the coastline opens up in both directions, so a single private tour can take in far more variety than a trip starting at either end.
Head east toward Amalfi
Turn east out of Praiano and you cruise past Marina di Praia and the dramatic Fiordo di Furore, then Conca dei Marini with its Emerald Grotto, before reaching Amalfi and tiny Atrani tucked into the cliffs. It is the most historic stretch of the coast, and it looks its best from the sea.
Head west toward Positano
Point the boat west instead and you follow the cliffs to Positano, the Li Galli islands and the Nerano coastline, with clear-water coves along the way. Many guests do a little of both, letting the skipper balance the route around the wind and the light.
One base, two coastlines
Because you are not committed to a single direction, Praiano is ideal if you want to see as much as possible in one relaxed day. A full-day itinerary gives you the freedom to combine villages, caves and long swimming stops without ever feeling rushed.
