Continue to Praiano and Positano by Boat

One of the pleasures of setting out from Amalfi is that the classic villages of the central Amalfi Coast are all within comfortable reach by sea. Continuing west, the route passes Marina di Praia, the cliffside village of Praiano and finally the unmistakable amphitheatre of Positano.

Travelling this stretch by boat lets you see how each village clings to the mountainside in its own way, from the tiny fishing cove of Marina di Praia to the pastel cascade of Positano. Along the way you pass watchtowers, hidden beaches and dramatic rock faces that the coastal road never reveals.
