Discover Atrani from a Unique Perspective

Immediately east of Amalfi, tucked into a narrow valley, lies Atrani, one of the smallest municipalities in Italy. It is easy to miss from the road, but from the sea it becomes one of the most charming stops of the whole itinerary.

A village built around the water

Atrani’s compact cluster of whitewashed houses, connected by arches, stairways and covered passages, spills down toward a small sandy beach. Seen from a boat, the entire village fits into a single frame, framed by cliffs on either side. It feels untouched compared with its busier neighbour, and gives a real sense of how these coastal communities have always lived facing the sea.

Include it on your route

Because Atrani is only a couple of minutes by boat from Amalfi, it is effortless to include at the start or end of your tour. Ask your skipper to slow down here so you can appreciate the details and take a few photographs.

This kind of local detail is easy to build into any of the itineraries on our Tours from Amalfi page.
